Talk to someone who's actually been through it
Sometimes you don't need a professional — you need someone who gets it. Connect with a peer who's lived through a similar situation. Free, private, on the platform.
Peer supporters are people with lived experience — not licensed therapists. This is not therapy or medical advice.
Peer conversations are launching soon — we're onboarding the first peer supporters now.

Peer support or therapy — which do I need?
They solve different problems, and many people use both: a peer for day-to-day support from someone who gets it, and a therapist for structured professional care.
| Peer support | Therapy | |
|---|---|---|
| Who you talk to | Someone who's lived through a similar situation | A licensed mental health professional |
| Cost | Free for seekers | Paid sessions; insurance may cover part |
| What happens | An honest text conversation, at your pace | Clinical assessment and a structured treatment plan |
| Best for | Feeling less alone, practical coping, everyday perspective | Depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, medication questions |
| Not for | Diagnosis, treatment, or crisis support | — (crisis: call or text 988) |
Not sure which fits? Start with whichever feels easier to say yes to — you can always talk to a licensed therapist as well.
What to expect from your first conversation
You share a few sentences
Tell us what's going on in your own words — no forms, no intake questionnaires. That's enough for us to look for a match.
We find a peer who's been there
You're paired with someone whose lived experience matches your situation — not a random stranger from a forum. If the match doesn't feel right, tell us and we'll pair you with someone else.
You talk by text, at your pace
No appointments to book and no camera. Reply when it suits you, share only what you're comfortable sharing, and end the conversation whenever you want.
Support stays on the platform
Conversations are moderated for safety, and peers don't take contact off-platform. If things get heavier than peer support can hold, we'll point you to licensed help.
How we keep conversations safe
- • Every conversation is monitored for safety; if things get serious, we surface crisis resources and licensed help.
- • Peers are screened and trained; sharing personal contact info off-platform isn't allowed.
- • You can report a conversation or end it any time.
In immediate danger or crisis? Call or text 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Peer support is not a crisis service.
